Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) is located between the eastern and western global financial and business centres and offers to future participants the optimal solution for their businesses while maximising opportunities in the region of Central Asia and minimising costs and risks.

Membership in WTO, regional integrations — such as the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) — and cooperation within China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) have had a significant impact on the global role of Kazakhstan and all Central Asian region.

Today Central Eurasia is entering a long period of active economic development, creating new prospects for countries, companies, and citizens on the path to prosperity.

AIFC is open to companies and individuals that are ready to provide additional opportunities for development and growth to both large financial, manufacturing, and trading corporations and companies that have entered the market for the first time.

AIFC is creating new opportunities:

  • for investors, offering securities of public and private issuers from Kazakhstan and other countries of the region, as well as business projects of various scales: from large, the level of the Belt and Road initiative, to small IT startups;

  • for business, facilitating access to investors, including large international and regional financial institutions, as well as asset managers and representatives of the Islamic finance segment.

The AIFC is located within the city of Astana. English is the official language of the Centre and is used in all areas of public relations regulated by the Centre. AIFC Expat Centre — a dedicated and specialized multifunctional institution, designated to foster the expedite integration of the foreign nationals into Kazakhstan society on a one-stop-shop basis. It provides foreign nationals with an access to an ample variety of government and socially oriented soft-landing services in English.
